Their veggie burger is one of the best I've had and kale salad excellent. Bar staff is always friendly.

Normally if I'm going to go for upscale dining, especially lunch, I'm not going for a burger/steak kinda place. It ensures that the meal will be over priced and nothing will jump off the menu in originality. Not that originality is a must in a great meal but it adds to the experience. But it was a client Christmas lunch and I wasn't picking the spot. It was a disappointment from beginning to end. The service was passable, which is to say 2 steps behind a drive thru. The food, which was 3 steps behind a Jack in the Box, was plasticy; made for a pallet that was merely aiming for quick consumption, not taste. Needless to say no one finished their meal and we took nothing to go. A very over priced lunch that was a huge let down Good news. They do have chocolate cookies, that something at least right.

Love this place!!! Alllllll of the food is awesome, I think I've had the whole menu. All the servers, bar tenders, hostesses are very friendly. Good mix of people. 2 for 1 appetizers and drinks for happy hour 4-7. Hundreds of wines. Outdoor bar. Very clean and trendy. Love it.

One of my favorite places to visit when I am in Boca. The food is excellent with many flavorful options at a good value. The dining room is beautiful, comfortable, and allows you to hear the conversation. All of the staff is personable and professional. Ask for Christina, she is exceptional.

Have to say I was impressed! Rarely do you find a place with great atmosphere, service, and food combined. This place has all 3! Their ribs were amazing and the bread pudding was the best I have ever had! I will definitely be back and l glad to spread the word when warranted! Keep up the great work!

Amazing food and great service. Skirt steak with sweet potato mash... Delicious Ribs and French dip are also great

Unfortunately, this place is deceiving...delicious smells waft out into the parking lot and the menu appears to have a great variety. However, all that is ruined when you spot a cockroach walking along the top of your seat (indoors!). That is NEVER acceptable. Stay away for your own health!

The veggie burger I've been waiting for. Housemade, red from beets, with brown rice, black beans, cooked on a flattop with havarati on top. Top veg burger.. I don't know what it is in Boca but they have these great grilled artichoke- this one was simply grilled with a Remoulade. -amazing! Paired with a flat tire beer for a perfect lunch!

Super tasty and interesting food, great staff and management, and very pleasant atmosphere both inside and out on the patio. I recommend the goat cheese salad and add grilled salmon! Also, great happy hour specials and musical entertainment.

2nd visit to Pinion Grill. The food wasn't bad but the service/customer service was horrendous. We came in early for a 7:15 reservation and was told to wait we checked in again at 7:30 despite several tables empty that we still needed to wait. After being seated it took another 45 mins to get our order. We had to go find the waitress multiple times. Either they were short staffed or just poorly organized. Either way in a town of many restaurants and plenty of places to go... I'd pass this one up.

This place is either owned by Houston's or is seriously trying to knock them off. Their menu is cryptically the same but different and their level of service is nowhere near that of Houston's. I had two appetizers as my meal (it was lunch time). One was a crab and corn cake that showed up under this "nest" of fried noodles. It was really tasty and interesting to look at too. The other appetizer I had was grilled artichokes - served exactly the way they are served in Houstons and tasted exactly like theirs (which made me very happy). Portions are large, I couldn't finish both appetizers. Hubby had the slow roasted French dip - priced just like the prime rib sandwich at Houston's - and it came with shoestring potatoes just like Houston's. They also have "very similar" salads to those at Houston's - and sides - hmmmmm. Anyway, the food was good, but the service was horrendous. I was so excited to hear they had bottomless mimosas - and they make the mimosas with a different variety of juices so you can try the different flavors. I had a pomegranate one which was just ok - not very pomegranatey - so I went with a regular mimosa for my second one (they were flute glasses - I'm not a lush) and to make it worth the price I paid for bottomless, I had to go with one more so I asked for a ruby red mimosa - which came out with regular grapefruit juice so it was very bitter. Anyway, the service was very sporadic and S-L-O-W. I might come back and sit in the bar area where apparently they have happy hour with discounted drinks and appetizers. Oh - the atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful. Tastefully done, dimly lit - nice modern vibe....

I used to work at Town Center so I would come to Piñon for a treat sometimes. I absolutely love their Tuna Burger, I order it with the asian coleslaw instead of fries, their Crab Cakes are also good as well the Ceasar Salad, I order with salmon and it's delicious ! Believe it or not their ginger ale is amazing ! My favorite appetizer are the crab fritters. I came for brunch one time and it was a bit disappointing, so I would stick to their regular menu. Sometimes service can be a bit slow, so if in a rush sit at the bar, the ambiance is awesome there.

A tad on the pricey side but I guess that is Boca Raton for you. I liked the decor and the food was good.

Atmosphere leads you to think food will be good. Ordered Scallop Appetizer for like $12-$14. Menu says it comes with 3. They had the nerve to cut the scallops in half and serve us 1 1/2. The waitress handled it appropriately and brought us another order, as if she'd heard it before but shane on them...second order actually had 3 whole scallops. That's even worse, admitting they cheated us on first plate. I've never had that happen. For that, I will never return. And the calamari left alot to be desired, just smothered in sauce that made it mushy. With Blue Martini next door and consistent appetizers at every location, no need to back.

My friends and I frequently eat here tonight was a disappointment drinks arrived nicely The bread was stale & old. The dinners arrived and mine and my husbands salad came without all of the ingredients. The waitress offered to bring a plate if missing ingredients and we declined as we had finished We've been waiting for the manager to come over and finally we had ask to meet the manager Juilo the manager came over apologized for the kitchen. He offered to take care of our dinners as well as dessert for my girlfriend and I birthday dessert. They redeemed themselves.

In the end this is an overpriced grill. First the service was terrible. Took forever to get drinks and food. No one checked on us to refill drinks or ask if we needed anything. The crab fritters are good. Tried the ahi, tuna burger and grouper. Nothing special but not bad either. The prices are way too high for this type of bar food and drinks. No value in going here.

"Pinion Grille" in Boca Raton, FL......... From the minute we walked in to the minute we walked out we were greeted with a hello. Food and service (Ryan was our waiter) was awesome! Every seat in the house for dining is a comfy booth! Not exactly a quiet restaurant, but, what restaurant really is when you live in south Florida? Lol Ask for Ryan. YOU won't be sorry!!!. $$$ Highly Recommend!

I have been there only for lunch, but their Tuna Burger is very good, as well as their BBQ Salmon. Service is efficient and nice (most of the time... I had issues once), and the outdoor space is nice.

I was somewhat disappointed by the food, the Kung pow calamari had no pow and it wasn't hot. The Mahi special was ok but again it lacked flavor. The poke tuna tacos were good but not great. The highlight was the delicious Key Lime pie. The staff was very friendly & good Not a place I will go back to

I am torn about writing this review because the manager was very nice, but It's my duty to write reviews.. As of right now they get 2 stars but I will give them another try and hopefully the stars will go up and not down.... I was told about this place from a friend who is also a foodie so I was excited... Soon as we walked in I thought to myself how happy I was because the decor was nice and big and modern and I figured Im going to have a great meal but it all goes down hill lol.. I used open-table where I am a vip member to make my reservation, so I was planning on getting excellent service but that's not what happened. My reservations were for 9pm but we did arrive really early at like 825 and the snotty rude hostess tells us that we won't be seated till 9pm so I say ok we will wait at the bar. We go to the bar and they were very friendly the girls behind the bar were so nice.. We ordered a couple of martinis and waiting to be seated. At 910pm we still were not seated so my friend goes up to the rude hostess and asks how much longer and asked did you forget about us she says no we didn't.. Whats your name? Well you should know if you didn't forget about us. She says it will be a little longer, in the meantime I have seen the same available empty tables since we walked in the restaurant at 825pm.. She comes over to the bar to get us 5min later and seats us with a snotty look. Nothing upsets me more then snotty staff... Sweetie you are a hostess you don't own the restaurant when I am dining you are working for me so lose the attitude.. Our waiter comes over right away I think his name was Amir and he was a really nice sweet kid even with all of our problems he was very cool.. 1 of my other friends told us how good the French Dips were here so thats what we ordered 2 French Dips with Fries and a side of the Mac n Cheese.... Oh and the Calamari.. The Calamari came out cold. No problem we send it back and they brought out a new 1 out right away it was tasty but a bit salty for me but still tasty and not bad.. The Mac & Cheese was a little thick but it was really yummy. The French Dips on the other hand were horrible. They were cut in half and 1/2 of mine had so much little pieces of fat hanging off I actually thought they were onions. So I send the 1/2 back and they brought out a new 1. The meat was just horrible and lacked flavor it was the worst french dip I have ever had. I ate 1/2 of it because I was starving and my friend thought the same thing and only at 1/2 of his. When the waiter came back over he noticed we barely ate anything and we told him it was just horrible he apologized and then the manager came over and explained how they are using a new vendor for the meat and he just tried the French Dip as well and thought the same thing how it wasn't tasting up to par.. He was very nice and he took the French Dips off of our bill and mentioned how he hopes we do actually give them another try because this is not normal for them to be like that and they wouldn't want us to think badly of Pinon Grill over 1 bad experience... All and All because of the way the manager and the waiter handled everything I will go back. I will make sure I order something else on the menu though... Now if they can just work on the attitude of the hostess that was working last night this place could have potential....

I've been to Pinon 4 times now and I am a fan, I've sat at a table twice and at the bar twice....I've yet to have a bad or disappointing experience. I've tried multiple appetizers, salads, entrees and all were all delicious. Here is what I recommend based on my experiences. Go to the bar during lunch and hope that Mary Jane is working because she is awesome. They just expanded their bar outside but inside or out its a great environment; I highly prefer to eat at the bar over a table because your server is always standing right there. Get the "Stacked" Tomato Salad as a starter and either the Prime Burger, Veggie Burger or Fish sandwich. The chicken tortilla soup and the tune salad are also pretty good but pricey. Have a tasty beverage, watch whatever sports are on, enjoy the sights and have a good meal.

I attended a tasting event here with a group of 20 people and have to say it was one of the best dining experiences I've had. Our waiter, Jerome, was extremely friendly and knowledgable about every single dish that came out. He even took the time to explain the wines that we were served and why they paired nicely with our food. The food....OH, it was too delicious. And there was so much! First we had appetizers -- Kung Pow Calamari, Grilled Artichokes, and Crab Fritters wrapped in phyllo dough (I think they should change the name to Crab Haystacks -- that's totally what they look like!) Then we had the warm goat cheese salad, which was very good. A trio of entrees were up next -- pecan-crusted trout, ribs, and roasted chicken... I only had the fish, which was excellent, but the way everyone was talking about the chicken and ribs assured me that they were just as tasty. Of course, no dinner can end without something sweet! We were served a plate with a piece of white chocolate bread pudding and a piece carrot cake. Both were so good I could NOT stop, even though I was so full! Everything was delicious, but I have to say my favorite of the night was definitely the Kung Pow Calamari. The chef and entire staff really outdid themselves for this particular event. Each of us left completely satisfied and eager to come back again soon.

After an attempt to get a table at Houston's didn't work out on a Wednesday night, too crowed with regulars and "snowbirds" we headed over to Piñon Grill. The appearance of this restaurant is more hip that Houston's with an amazing bar area in which the bottles of alcohol are arranged in various ways making art like structures/illusions. The tables seem like a knockoff (wood block) like Houston's even with the step down plaques on the tables in the bar section. Menus are fairly comparable with items and price point down to the slab of baby back ribs. Had the tomato stack and it was a decent amount to share. I had the vegetable burger and it had a kick to mix that I was really not expecting. If I liked spice, I would have liked this. The French fries were like Houston's other than these were hot and extra crispy, something that Houston's has a very hard time accomplishing. All in all it was a good meal but not memorable. I would eat atbthis restaurant again but would try to find something else to eat.

I'm in from out of town, but when I return to Boca I am DEFINITELY going back to Pinon. The food is fresh and delicious; the selection of wines and mixed drinks could fill my house back home; and the service was a perfect blend of attentive and leaving us to enjoy our meal. We sat outside which, for this time of year, was perfect. We were just two people and we split an appetizer and an entree, and that was the perfect amount of food. We started with the kobe sliders, which were great -- this is going to sound like a funny thing to hone in on, but the pickles were awesome! Sweet, and they added a really interesting flavor. Main course we shared the chicken paillard over cappelini -- it was very straightforward, nothing fancy, but the subtle flavors -- brown butter for the sauce, arugula with sun-dried tomatoes -- made it really enjoyable. It does get rather loud inside, so depending on your purpose for going, I'd recommend you request your table location (inside or out) accordingly. Enjoy!

My favorite restaurant in all of Boca. Right in/outside of the mall- which is shocking. Parking is easy, and the atmosphere is the best. I love how it looks in here. I always get the crab cakes, best I have ever had. The bread is amazing they serve before. I could fill up on that alone- ("carbs are the enemy... ya ya") Should definitely eat there if you are shopping at the best mall in south Florida.

Wonderful menu, the crab fritters w that amazing sauce and veggie burger that had me making all sorts of sounds as I took bite after bite.. To wash it all done I enjoyed the watermelon refresher martini, which is made with cucumber, fresh watermelon and vodka. Not sweet at all. It lives up to its name a refresher. As Pinon grill is a refreshing, enjoyable experience.

Place is a winner, especially during the 4 to 7 happy hour. High quality apps for half price. Drinks also. Believe you need to sit in the bar area for the apps but there are booths and high tops. Great place to stop after doing your Christmas shopping at Town Center mall. Next to Blue Martini.

Horrible customer service. The restaurant advertised hours were till 10pm. We arrived at 940pm and were told by the hostess and later by the manager that the kitchen had closed because no customers had come in the last hour. This is unacceptable for a restaurant that holds itself out (with pricing) of an upscale casual dining. We quickly drove to Houstons (or Hillstones) which also advertised closing at 10pm. We walked in at at 950pm and were greeted with a smile, a table and absolutely no subtle pressure of being past closing as we were finishing our dinner and talking. The server refilled our glasses several times and was as attentive as if earlier in the night. This economy is too bad for me to give my money to a place with the sub par service and attitude of Pinon Grill.

Well, I rarely give a 5 star review, but this one is so worthy of it. I brought a group of 20 people to Pinon Grill last night for one of my foodie events and I have to say that in the 5+ years I've been doing these events that this is one of the best, if not THE BEST, we've had so far. First of all, the attention we got from our server Jerome, was top notch. In addition, the rest of the staff were also very attentive. The food was exceptional and boy did it keep coming. I always have great expectations from the restaurants I bring my groups to, but Pinon Grill far exceeded them on this night. I am so happy to have introduced my friends to this place and will definitely be back!

After emailing the manager 4 weeks ago in hopes that we might receive so much as an apology for our terrible experience here - I still have not heard back. This place has next to no regard for its customers and their experience at the restaurant and will go down in my book as the worst dining experience I've ever had. We've spread the word about our time here and will never be back.

Wonderful Restaurant, amazing food, fantastic service, superb atmosphere and decor. Jerome was our server and he was simply awesome. When we returned we specifically asked for him again. But we had the pleasure of other servers coming to our table as well, each and every person, friendly and ever so nice. We had such a fantastic lunch, that we went back a week later and plan to return again and again. 10 star rating if I could. The Cedar Plank Salmon was cooked to perfection and the salad I ordered was so so fresh and delicious. Fantastic restaurant.

They are great! Service always wonderful! You have to try the French dip (make sure you get the creamy horseradish sauce with it)!
Amazing veggie burgers and kale salad! Great new look and atmosphere. It seems more casual now which is nice but I'm not a fan of their new uniforms.

I gave them four stars because they try so hard - The food is good - my mother loves it - her favorite place to eat! Problem - the menu needs more diversity - a little boring But good! And good parking And a great looking BIG bar!

Awesome food! Awesome staff! Definitely try the Crispy Crab Fritters appetizer they are super unique and the sauce that they're served with is by far the best tasting sauce on the planet! The New Orleans pasta and sea Bass are amazing, but those Crab Cakes are probably the best I've ever had! Steaks are always on point!!! That wood fire grill makes the difference turns a great steak and burger into something Extraordinary!!! Try the French dip sandwich for lunch, super tender!!!! And lastly any of the desserts will don try them all it's worth it I promise!!!

Piñon Grill has a Miami-atmosphere in Boca Raton, with prices to match (he says, living nowhere near either of those places and able to make crazy assumptions. Still, I think it works.) This is a beautiful restaurant in the middle of a shopping plaza. And when I say beautiful, I mean walk in and go, "Wow!" Mood lit, light touches of neon, a giant glowing bar that reaches up to the ceiling, bottles of wine stacked fantastically in glass cases right in front of you. My god, what an expereince. The Piñon Grill is very good about reservations. You make one and then they call you to confirm the day before. They're so busy they won't seat you right until it's your time, but on the dot, we were seated. Love that service. We were sat in a giant booth. And I mean, a booth that easily could have fit seven or eight people, and we were only three. It actually was a little uncomfortable being in a booth that big and we all had to sit towards the end just to talk to each other. I'd rather have my seating area be too big than too small, I guess, but still, it was kind of strange that there were so many people waiting and we were put into this giant booth. Ah well, I appreciate them sitting us on time. Our waiter was great, friendly, quick, knowledgeable. I wish I had got his name because he was fantastic, Young guy, glasses, nice dude. There are a ton of options for food here, most of it meat-based and pretty good. I got the braised boneless short rips and they were tasty. Not the beat meat dish I've ever gotten but very good. I also got a solid wedge salad to go along with it, was was crisp and wonderful. The prices are, of course, where they loose some points. It's expensive for sure and as many people have already said, you're paying not just for the food but for the atmosphere too. Still, if you're looking to drop some dollars and have a great Boca night out, this is it.

I've just been here one time. The atmosphere is great. It was lunch, I ordered a salad with crispy chicken. It was just plain and average. I would never get that again. My mojito was also plain and average. My better half had the sliders and I had one bite. Those tasted delicious. So - when I'm in the mood for sliders, I'll be back to order my own at piñon.

It's good... It's not awesome but the food was pretty good. I had their scramble skillet that came with home fries. Their home fries were the best I have ever had!!! I will come back just for those home fries! My husband ordered old faithful to drink, he loved it. He also got Kung pao fried calamari as an appetizer, which again was amazing!!!!! He got the fish sandwich and he said it was pretty good, he likes their sauce it came with.

One of the best places in Boca for quality food, great service and a fine-dining atmosphere without feeling stuffy or uptight.... The menu is not large, but they make up for a smaller amount of meals with a high quality of meats, fishes, salads and desserts. Very comfortable for a date but also great for a large party.
(4)
Jay F.
The restaurant has a horrible reservation system we arrived at 7;10 for a 7:15?reservation. There were literally 50-75 people waiting to be seated. We were told that here was at least a 20 minute wait. Horrendous management system. We are still waiting as I write this. Stay away if you want to be seated.

Great experience here today, cool deal called power lunch, house salad, BBQ salmon, and 3 Fresh chocolate chip cookies for $17. They guarantee it in 30 minutes or it's half off. Pretty cool gimmick. Great price great service!

Hands down the best veggie burger I've ever had! One of those where you have to second guess if it's veggie or not, because it's that good. Great shoestring fries too. Enough to split. Refreshing cocktails.

It was overpriced, portion on the chicken pasta were small. The Kung pao calimari were very salty. I will never come here again. Note to manager - make bigger portions for heaven's sake! I will never recommend your restaurant. I'm an unsatisfied customer! I left your place hungry! I'd rather cook at home than come to your restaurant

Horrible experience, ruined our celebratory dinner for my daughter. We've been there many times before and enjoyed it. However, they've deteriorated in the quality of food AND service. Two of us ordered the filet mignon, one was overcooked and my baked potato had purple black MOLD!!! I was soo disgusted, notified the waitress and they replaced the potato with another side and that's it!! No manager came, no credit for the moldy side AND NO APOLOGY!!! The waitress was inexperienced removing our bread before we were done, never coming by to see how we were doing...We will never visit this place again....this place used to be a nice dining experience, unfortunately not any NO MORE!!

We stopped in at 4 pm and they happpened to be having happy hour. 4-7 M-F half off appetizers and two for one alcohol drinks. Had the crab fritters as an appetizer and they were excellent especially if you like a little spice which the yellow sauce adds. Also had the American Kobe Sliders which were good and nicely presented with some thin onion ring type garnish although they were the dullest part of our meal but still decent. $20 for two beers and two appetizers during happy hour was great. The service in the bar area was very good and pleasant. Beautiful amber colored bar and very classy modern set up with a couple flat screen TVs. Overall the menu was pretty basic with nothing really creative like a fine chef might have but we will have to revisit for dinner and see if the menu just seems basic and the food is far better. So far we are impressed and will be going back for dinner sometime soon.

Really nice meal and loved the atmosphere. We tried bunches of things. Grilled artichokes, Kung pao calamari, crispy crab fritters, piñon goat cheese salad. Each dish was better than the next. And it's gorgeous- the bar, the dining room! Service was great. I will go back for sure when next in the area. It is expensive but if you're looking for a special place- this is it.

Yes this restaurant is at the mall, but go anyway! It has great decor and my favorite is the outside seating area. We were starving when we got there and our waiter was very friendly and he had great recommendations. We shared a risotto appetizer that was amazing. Risotto balls rolled in crunchy vermicelli noodles and quickly fried and served with a lovely sauce. We practically licked the plate. I had a pineapple mojito that fresh and perfect for a warm evening. We shared a Cajun pasta dish that had nice heat without being overwhelming and a chicken breast over capellini that was a bit boring for my taste but my husband liked it. We enjoyed it so much we even got key lime pie for dessert which was nicely balanced tartness and sweetness. We are always looking for a relaxing place to have a good meal in Boca without waiting an hour for mediocre food and service. This is our new place!

Denise J.
Striking interior, with a friendly staff, they honored our online reservation and sat us immediately on Saturday night. Their menu has ample selection. For starters, the grilled artichokes and the beautifully plated tomato mozzarella stacks, embellished with balsamic glaze are enough for four to share. Grilled roast chicken with a cilantro key lime sauce is a must. The tiny fries alongside were perfectly crisp. Snapper, excellent, with tiny, seasoned haricot vert. Cheddar au gratin accompany huge portion of prime rib, as there are two sizes to chose from. The NOLA Cajun style pasta was the only entree we were not crazy for as the chicken was overcooked; best leave this for the NOLA chefs. We also tried a marinated kale salad special, which everyone thought was creative, and yet simple. Do leave room for dessert: the best peanut butter chocolate concoction covered in ganache, was superb.

I ordered the tuna burger medium rare and substituted the fries for the potatoes au- gratin. Within 1 hour I had horrible diarrhea. This was the only thing I had eaten all day and I still cannot leave my house due to this. Please check the temperature of the tuna and make sure it's stored properly so that no one else gets sick. Also, I was not very pleased with the server; seemed like he'd be a better fit for a TGI Fridays or Wendys.

Upscale New American restaurant in the Boca Raton Town Center Mall. This place takes reservations and is usually 100% booked on the weekends. We just showed up and sat in the bar area where there is a huge wooden table that can seat 12 people easily. The service and food is just as good here, but without the wait. I had Calamari and NY Strip and it was very good. The drinks are also very good and the ambiance of this place is very upscale and fits in well with the Boca Raton location.

Went on a Wednesday night and was sat right away. The Pinon goat cheese salad was fantastic. Perfect amount of dressing and was a good size portion, (we split it between two people). I ordered the filet, medium, and it was cooked perfectly. Very tender. I asked for a side of creamy horse-radish and it was delicious. I had the potatoes and the kale salad. The potatoes were good, it honestly reminded me of homemade casserole, still debating if that's a good thing. The kale salad was just okay. Both me and someone else the table agreed there was way too much garlic on it. I also thought it was REALLY lemony. I only had a few bites. For dessert I had the Key Lime Pie. It was very good but very rich. It was someone Birthday at our table and they brought out her dessert with a candle on it. That was a nice touch..and bonus, no singing. Overall it was a great dinner and great service.

Tried it. Saw no real desire to ever return. Why you ask? This place looks beautiful both from the outside and in. It has all the features you'd want in a restaurant but like many Boca woman they're hollow inside. Pinon Grill does nothing to truly separate itself from other restaurants of its kind. The food is well typical. It's not bad, but with all the options you have such as Houstons, J. Alexanders, Cheesecake or Grand Lux, why would you go here? Again you won't have a bad meal. You'll just have a very middle of the road meal at a higher cost.

As soon as we walked in the door the aroma of steak hit me and I loved it! The ambience is very nice, I would say it is classy contemporary. Their bar is very nice, the amber bartop is pretty cool and they have a large choice of liquor with shelves filled to the ceiling. The decor is a mix of different cultures with a contemporary twist and this carries over to the menu. We greeted by a very nice hostess Tiffany, and our server's name was Ryan. He was very polite and knowledgable about the menu. The food is what they call on their menu "New American Cuisine". I features poplular dishes with infusions from different cultures. Such as calamri a Italian dish served in a Kung Pao style and then topped with cilantro to give it a Latin flare. Some of there other dishes have this sort of fusion style, I thought it was very creative. This fusion theme was subtle both in the decor and the food, which was plated nicley and delicious. Rarely do I order steak and enjoy the sides as much as I enjoyed the steak. The potato au gratins with parmesean that came along with the New York strip steak and my date's pime rib were worth noting. The servering sizes were ample. As mentioned before they have a full bar and lots a wine. I was suprised to even see they make caipirinhas, which was good. The desert was also worth noting it was a flourless chocolate waffle topped with a scoop of ice cream. What I especially liked about it was the sun dried cherries complimented the richness of the chocolate well. Despite being one of the last guest at the establihment late in the nite we never felt rushed out the door and I really appreciated that. I had a great time and would rcommend this place to anyone and would love to come back. Also even upon leaving we very politely asked how things went and told that they would love to have us back and even given coupons for complimentary appitiezers and told about their brunch special as well. I wasn't even aware this place existed but I had a nice time and enjoyed the food and would return.

There's not a finer aesthetic restaurant (mall based) in Boca. Pinon nails it on looks. Wide open spaces to dine. Ambient lighting and music with delectable design to feast the eyes one. Cool restrooms too. Oh, and the food: fantastic. Plenty of choices for eats and drinks with time and space to stretch out and enjoy your server, your food and your company. Fully stocked bar, great lunch/brunch and dinner food - I've eaten a variety of vegetable based entrees and their fantastic. Enjoy!

The food at Pinion Grill is exceptional. I really enjoy the crab fritters, peanut coleslaw and kale salad. Whenever my friends ask me where I want to eat, I always reply with "Pinion." The service is excellent as well, and the Managers always come right to the table to ask how we like the food. Every experience has been a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. Thank you Pinion for providing such quality food and service. Very happy to have found this restaurant.

This was a solid 3.5 stars. The restaurant decor was very nice (all booths), and the staff were friendly. I couldn't quite figure out, cuisine-wise, what this restaurant wanted to me. There was steak and seafood, and also Italian, and also barbecue. We had the ribs, which were tasty but not very meaty. They very kindly split both the ribs and our salad into two individual plates for us, since we were sharing both. Prices were reasonable for what it was. I would go back.

Myself and friends ate here last night. We had a wonderful time!. The bar is fully stocked with every kind of premium liquor your heart desires. The bartenders are very friendly and knowledgeable. Once at our table we ordered several appetizers. Kung Pao Calamari delicious not to spicy, Spinach ,mushroom Quesadilla which came w/ guacamole ,sour cream and salsa so good. We also ordered The Crispy Crab Fritters very light and tasty. We then moved on to our main course. I had Marinated Skirt Steak w/ a ginger, soy marinate and grilled Pineapple Salsa cooked perfectly med-rare, served w/ these outrageous parmesan crusted potatoes. My friends had fish. Asian grilled Salmon moist and delicious, and Bronzino served whole but filleted. My friend has ordered the Bronzino three times before. She really likes it!You would think by now we would be stuffed which I was but my husband wanted dessert! He ordered the most incredible bread pudding w/ white chocolate and raspberry coulees. My friends ordered the flour less chocolate waffles with vanilla ice cream which was also good. This is not a restaurant for kids! This place is good for a party or small group. Reservations a must on weekends. Casual dress is fine. The reason i didn't give it five stars is the booths are somewhat uncomfortable to sit in.I also feel when serving a meat dish like steak, or fish a green vegetable should come with the meal (like green beans, sauteed spinach, etc) not just a small serving of potatoes!

The food here is great, especially for Boca. I always order the goat cheese salad (delicious) and the steak is also really good. They also have amazing dessert (the bread pudding is so yummy)!

Okay... someone has been 'photo doping' for Pinion or they hired a pro for those pictures!! Don't get me wrong, the place is good, but your food will not come out perfectly plated and sauced like the photos being advertised. Pinion is of a tier between Outback and Houston's. However, they have **a killer BBQ sauce selection** that will leave you wondering why they don't just make the whole damn place into a manufacturing plant for it! I love the Brisket sandwich, braised short rib, and jalapeño mac and cheese - All smothered in their BBQ sauce... are you getting my point! You'll enjoy your meal without a doubt, but you may leave wondering that for the same price and a 1/2 mile down the road you could have been at Houston's... thats were the 'movers and shakers' are eating. Pros: Awesome Q sauce / great sandwiches / trendy atmosphere / no wait Con(s): Could have been at Houston's

Went here last night with friends ..pretty place but definitely a bit on the dark side when you walk in..took a minute for my eyes to even focus! Service was great, not rushed at all. My prime rib was delicious.

7 women went to dinner last night and it was the worst experience in dinning that I have had in the 20 years I have spent the winters in Florida We were put at a booth for 6 even though we had res for 7. We were finally moved, which was the only good thing that happened! Food was awful. After sending it back twice it came out worse than it started. Management was unsympathetic.

We've eaten twice here, once for dinner and again for lunch. Here's why we won't be returning. The food at dinner was fine, but the noise level in the place is horrific--and it's a kind of noise that serves no purpose (unlike music would perhaps)--cutlery clattering, and voices bouncing off of a poorly designed ceiling and massive stone walls. At lunch, things were quieter, so quiet in fact that we were forgotten by the wait staff until we flagged someone down. We arrived before noon on a Friday and the place was pretty empty of customers--at the time we were seated, I noticed about 5 other occupied tables in what is a fairly large dining room. So, we were brought iced tea and water after ordering our drinks and this is where things broke down. Probably 30 waiters passed by our table in a 10 minute period. Few of them were tending to the other guests, which made this all the more annoying. When we did get someone to stop and politely asked if he could send our waiter over, our waiter said when he arrived, "I understand we're in a hurry today." This floored me. I said, "We are not in a hurry at all, but we would like to order some food." He did not reply to my remark. The rest of the meal went well, aside from a $9 "bowl" of soup being served in so shallow a vessel as to be laughable. The kale salad that I ordered on both visits is fantastic, which is why I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars instead of 0. Fortunately, the waiters are so proud of this dish that they explained all its ingredients as well as how to make it so that I will never have to visit this place again.

This place is pretty good, but nothing out of this world, our waiter was very knowledgable and the manager came over to see us 3 times to make sure everything was ok. The Prime Rib was good, but the Cajun Pasta my SO ordered was dynamite. The drinks we ordered were great, the desserts are to die for and the atmosphere was very hip and modern. This restaurant has a lot going for it, but is a bit pricy for what it is.

Came with a large and rather difficult group yet the service was not effected at all. It was excellent. The one odd part was the shape of the table. There was 14 of us and the table was a U shape and very far from the other side so conversation is limited to people at your sides. The booth was very low or the table was very high but whatever it was, it was not very comfortable. They did however provide pillows upon requests which helped a bit. The food was excellent. I had the New Orleans Pasta. Spicy and in my opinion, a perfect pasta dish. My cousin had a tuna burger and said it was amazing and my brother had a steak special and said it was also one of the best he's ever had. Oh but I think the best part of the entire thing was the honey butter! I almost asked for some to go!

My son graduated FAU last thursday, and I took him , and his brother and my mother to Pinon for lunch. We received so much attention from our waiter, Jason, as well as two other staff members, including the manager. We felt we were royalty! The food was excellent. I advise if you are price conscious to stay with the sandwiches or burgers.... I had a blackened Mahi sandwich, my sons had grilled chicken sandwiches and mom had a cheeseburger. They offer several choices of sides as well, including mashed sweet potatoes, my sons favorite.

I am appalled from the manner of the manager Larry Greer at Pinon Grill responded to us when we questioned the " $2.00 per side of salad dressing: charge on the bill . The side of salad dressing charge is not itemized on the menu The server never told us there would be an addition charge when we placed our order. The manager Larry Greer would not take the charge off the bill. As a matter of fact Larry was very matter of fact and didn't apologize for any misinformation and walked away. This is so terribly insulting and disrespectful Owners Jeff and Kevin, This is a slap in the face to a customer. I have been to your restaurant many times since you opened Until I receive a respectful apology, I will not be back. I am a retired owner of 3 successful food establishments Sincerelysteph@aol.com

I am giving this a 2 star mostly because of the service. I have had lunch here before and the staff were more attentive. There are so many good restaurants in the area so service is just as important as the meal. I had a nice glass of wine but none of the 8 of us were offered another drink nor water. A few of us had the trout and it was fair but when I mentioned to the person bringing out the food that mine had slaw was b/c I thought it came on the plate she replied I only have two hands and it's coming.after our meals were placed we were never asked how everything was prepared, never offered condiments and we were celebrating 2 birthdays when the ice cream came we had to ask for water as well as flag over a group of waitstaff chatting for coffee. Did I mention the service sucked?

To be clear, this review is not about the Piñon Grill's food - I never got a chance to try it. I had reservations for 2 with this place at 8:30 at night. Admittedly, I was 1 minute late as I walked through the door at 8:31 (I didn't quite know where the place was in the mall complex). I stood at the receptionist desk for about 4-5 minutes before one of the three people behind the desk acknowledged me. I informed them I was here for my 8:30 reservation, they asked my name, I told them, then they started talking amongst themselves and to other people who approached the desk after me for another 5 minutes. I over heard one receptionist tell the others that a few tables have opened up. Then I finally got a response from them that my table wouldn't be ready for at least another 30 minutes. WTF? Do reservations mean nothing to this restaurant? What kind of service does this place have that they don't acknowledge or reply to customers for 5 minutes at a time? My date and I walked out and found another restaurant that was able to seat us quickly with no reservations. The food there was rather good ... I will probably return to that other restaurant.
Came here with a party of 13. Food was great, waiter was very attentive and patient (3 kids in the party). Would definitely go here again.

I was very impressed by this restaurant. Our service (Shawn was our waiter) was phenomenal and the food was excellent. You could also tell the ingredients were quality and fresh... which is sometimes hit or miss for a restaurant located in a shopping center.

Been for lunch and dinner recently so this is a combo review! Both experiences were very good. Cool decor and great atmosphere: dark wood, sculptures, deep spacious booths, immaculately clean, modern, but very comfortable vibe. From the host, Javier, to our waiter, the service was like clockwork. We had no issues with the dinner reso. The dinner crowd was bustling/upscale, lunchtime was quieter. Food was beautifully presented, fresh and flavorful. Had tuna tacos and sliders as apps: both good. The ribs were excellent--served hot and had phenomenal flavor (recommend!), paired well with the organic IPA. Fries: deadly good shoestrings! Friends had the tuna burger and a sea bass dish and all those present gave great reviews remaking on their freshness/flavor. This was one of those places I look forward to going back to and trying other apps, entrees, etc. Enjoy!

Consistently outstanding food. The grilled chicken quesadilla were yummy and filling. Shared by three. Scallop appetizer was a special and delicious. Juicy. Plump. Complaint: get rid of the "elevator music" at the bar. It is deathly. Would never hang there again. Beautifully designed but lacks any "punch"... and get more cute male waiters - all of them are cute, could just enjoy more eye candy as I dine on their great food [at least I'm honest...]

I have to been to Pinon Grill twice, once for brunch and once for dinner. The ambiance is funky and a little dark, the huge booths are great. I didn't sit at the the bar, but the bar area looked very hip. Brunch: I had steak benedict, which was very decadent with fillet as the steak. The steak was cooked perfect, which is key for me. My friend had the bagel and lox, which was actually not a real bagel, but bagel chips, which was a little odd, but it was still tasty. My friend's girlfriend had the french toast, which was massive and pretty tasty. Our waiter was a little odd, not very friendly, but attentive. Would probably not be going back fro brunch. Dinner: Our same group went back for dinner a week later on a Wednesday night without a reservation. We were seated quickly with no problem. The place was pretty full. The food was great! The grilled artichoke appetizer was amazing! Would go back just for that. The crab fritters were great too. For main courses, I had the marinated skirt steak, which was excellent. My friend had a burger, which was solid and his girlfriend did the Kobe sliders, which were also solid. For some reason, I also ordered the mac and cheese which was great, but it was too much food. I was the only one having drinks and the margarita's I had hit the spot. Our server(forgot his name) was great and very attentive and friendly. Overall, we loved the place and will definitely go back for dinner but probably not for brunch.

One of the better restaurants in Boca, and some of the nicest ambience. The food is upscale and tasty. I've been several times and I can't say that I've run into the rude waiter problem, or the extra dressing problem mentioned here. It compares on a level around J. Alexanders and Seasons 52 here in town, in case you've tried those and you like them. It is tucked around the back side of the Town Center Mall, so we'll prevent another nastygram for being late. They have Valet as well as self-parking, and it sits next to the Blue Martini, although, I would get a drink at the Grill as I think they have a better bar.

This restaurant is a solid 3 star. The atmosphere is fine but the decor is kinda weird. Nothing really goes together, the designer really missed the mark. The service was great, our waiter really went above and beyond to make us happy. The food was just okay. We started with the tuna tacos. The tuna was fresh but too cold, it had just come out of the fridge (ideally tuna should be slightly cold, not refrigerator cold). It was served with shredded iceberg lettuce on a blue corn taco shell. The dressing on the lettuce was good, but the taco shell was horrible, they really need to do something else with that dish. My husband got the prime rib sandwich which he loved. The french fries that came with it were awesome. I got the fish special of the day, the mahi mahi. It wasn't very fresh, pretty fishy tasting...and it came with the kale salad which was fine. We didn't get dessert. Overall it was an okay dining experience but too expensive for the quality of the food and the preparation. We probably won't be back, there are better options in Boca.

Well, at least its pretty.....and its too bad that such a nice setting is wasted on such mediocre food and such an amateurish and indifferent staff. Had dinner last night and after discussing three entree options with Stefan, our waitperson, we opted for the crabcakes. (let me digress here--Stefan characterized each option we asked about as being "very delicious". Isn't something either delicious or not? Sort of like 'unique'? Does "very delicious" also mean that things can be "a little delicious"? OK--I"m done with the digression). We also asked for bread. We saw another waiter walk by with a bowl of bread clutched tightly against his body so the rolls wouldn't fall (are you seeing my problem with this?) who left it at a table near ours with the announcement that it was 'hot bread'. We never saw hot bread and when our entrees arrived, we asked for bread again and got decidely not hot bread with a sweetened butter that adds a very odd and not entirely pleasant note. OK, onto the crab cakes about which Stefan had raved (Stefan has not ever had them at City Market or even Legal Seafood, I guess). They were, like the restaurant, attractive-two large nicely browned patties-- but definitely lacking substance. Inside, they were mushy, almost mealy, sort of wet shreds of crabmeat with not a single chunk to be found. The sides weren't awful, but sides do not make a quality dining experience. When Stefan dropped by and asked how our crabcakes were, we told him. He either didn't get it or didn't care--or both. We looked at the dessert menu and decided not to bother--the rest of the food was so merely average that we decided not to waste the calories on what was sure to be a so-so dessert. When these two girls pass on dessert, you know that there has to be something seriously wrong! We paid our bill, tipped as if we had gotten good service, looked at each other and said "never again". Too bad--it is pretty.

Decided to try Pinon Grill after a few friends mentioned it at work (boca er) and i'm so glad I did. The restaurant makes you feel as if your in LA or NYC... The decor is not the only thing I enjoyed.. The food was excellent. I tried the salmon dinner and was very happy with my meal. My server was very attentive (Stephen) young man who really knew his menu and was very sociable. Oh and they have pillows which make you feel even more comfortable... Definitely 100% recommend !!

My husband and I decided to try Pinon Grill for our date night. We walked in and were warmly greeted by the hostess and then immediately seated. The atmosphere has low lighting with several booth of dark wood tables and soft cushioned booth seating. A great atmosphere! The service was excellent and attentive. My husband ordered the filet mignon, cooked medium rare as ordered, however, the meat wasn't very flavorful. The seasoning was very light, but unfortunately the meat did not have much flavor itself to hold its own. It could have used a quart of A-1 sauce to taste good. Presentation was very good, they've got that down. I ordered the salmon salad, it arrived with no salad greens, it looked like an entree meal. I only assumed my salad would come with some type of lettuce, they immediately brought me a plate of romaine, even though I did request spring greens. Anyway, they ought to rename the salmon salad to the kitchen sink salad....there were so many different items in the salad, and I wouldn't say they all went well together. The salad included roasted corn, kalamata olives, capers, roasted red pepper strips, roasted red potatoes, steamed green beans, mango (say what?), and also a hard-boiled egg that was not specified on the menu (alert if you are allergic to eggs!). The salmon was a nice sized piece with a good sear on both sides, decent flavor, but it did not blow me away. It was the weirdest salad I ever had, none of the ingredients made sense together. Anyway, even with a great atmosphere and near perfect service, the food was disappointing, and for the price, they really need to step it up several notches! We tried and we won't be back.

Just like everyone else here, I feel like the waiters were very rude. Heads up to management if you have someone named Marc, please give them a talking. In addition, I feel like the basic lunch items were soso. I did give this place 1 star because the staff personnel were rude, and the food was not what I expected for the prices offered. I will not go back.

Mediocre "chain style but not a chain" restaurant- albeit of a higher end composition. Regardless of my opinion of the food, the decor is nice, and service excellent. Both myself and my business partner started with the Santa Fe Chicken Soup with chunks of Avocado. Both of us agreed that there was a strange taste to it and not to either of our liking. He also felt that the chicken was undercooked, (mine was not but I do not like dark meat of which there was an even assortment). For the main course, I ordered a chicken paillard which comes with a topping of arrugula type greens and a bed of angel hair pasta. I did read the menu so I am guilty of ordering a dish that I normally love (chicken paillard) that identified an overlay of brown butter, and did not give it further thought. Well, in hindsight I did make a mistake, as when I order a classic chicken paillard I expect a tasty grilled piece of chicken, but not overwhelmed by butter. I pushed myself to take five or so bites sucked down three twirls of way overcooked and soggy angel hair pasta and pushed the plate away. My partner had a grilled salmon with green beans. He thought it was ok. Here is the bright spot: The server asked me how my meal was and I said it was Ok. She said would I like to exchange it for something else? (an owner of a 4 star restaurant from another city once told me never send back your food so I do not). I told her it was not necessary. When the bill was provided to us, and without my request, she had voluntarily taken the item off. That is a class act (regardless of my opinion of the food). I wish them success, but quite frankly Houston's and even J. Alexander's are heads and tails better than the knock offs that have recently come into Boca Raton (the other recent and horrible chain being Copper Canyon). And even Cheesecake Factory or its sister company are in my opinion better than any of the above. On another positive note, Pinon Grill doeshave an imaginative menu and the dishes are meant to provide consistency instead of quality. As you can see by other reviewers, there are many folks whose taste buds are quite different to mine, and appreciative of these type of restaurants.

I have visited a few times for dinner and it is reasonably priced. The food happens to be delicious and the menu just looks great with lots of choices. The staff very freindly and helpful when it comes making choices. They have probably the most picture perfect bar you could imagine. I have had the chicken sandwich, salmon BLT, tuna tacos all fabulous.

We stopped in here after an afternoon of shopping. We were told that without reservations it would be a 45 minute wait. We went to the bar and grabbed some seats, a few drinks and apps. The bar staff was very friendly and nice. We got them to change the channel to put the Heat game on the big two TVs over the bar. We had the Lobster and Crab Ceviche app and it was very fresh and yummy. I ordered the ribs for dinner and my fiancee got the Seared Tuna Salad. We were told that our table was ready after 15 minutes but we chose to stay in the bar for the remainder of the meal. I would recommend this as a must try and a welcome addition to the Boca Mall.

The lunch meals are way over-priced for lunch portions. The burger was OK for $12 but I refuse to pay $36 for a lunch portion of mahi mahi.

Pinon Grill is the best new restaurant to open in Boca Raton in the last year. In a town where industrial food dominates (think olive garden, chilis, maggianos and the like) dominate the landscape, Pinon Grill stands out serving fresh tasty seasoned food at reasonable prices in a beautiful atmosphere. The restaurant which opened a few months ago seems to be run very efficiently which might lead you to believe its part of a chain but its not. The food is as I mentioned "seasoned" which means unlike most Boca Raton restaurants it actually has "flavor". The folks from Pinon clearly are not from the area or they would have gotten the memo that the generally obnoxious and angry local patrons want bland food which will not offend their sensitive pallet. For this alone I applaud them. Each time I have went I have tried something different and have been consistently pleased. Again if flavor in food offends Pinon is not for you. But if you want to try what I think is a better alternative to Houston's in town than try Pinon. While Dinner is crowded lunch is much easier to get in, for now, than other places as it isn't that well known.

The evening before last we ate at Tremonti's in Delray Beach. If you want noise, high salt in the preparations, close seating and high pricing, go there. In complete distinction was our visit to Pinon Grill last night. One of our group has a panoply of food allergies that make going to a restaurant an exercise in patience and sympathy (more for the server than anyone else). Patricia {our server) and the manager (whose name I have forgotten!) did all they possibly could to make our visit pleasant and accommodating. They no longer have the ceviche appetizer I loved but they have new items, which means they are always trying new and creative ways to make a visit surprising and pleasant. This visit was no exception. I had the chopped tuna burger and I thought it quite good,, as was the tuna dinner another of us had. All in all, there isn't much more one could expect of a restaurant. Its pricing seemed moderate and those of us who experience nighttime reactions to MSG or too much sodium were not affected. The decor is modern and they can get crowded but they do a good job, I think.

Terrible service recently . Ignored at desk, finally shown to table where we sat for ten minutes w no server acknowledging our existence even though two managers strolled by. When server arrived he said he was filling in for our assigned server and took our order but, as it turns out, never put it in as no food arrived for almost thirty minutes. When we stopped somebody to inquire where our food was he said he would check and never returned! We flagged down another server who brought over a manager who said one of the servers, not sure which , failed to put our order in. Foolishly, this manager failed to offer us a drink or dessert as a courtesy when that would have been done at most restaurants of this supposed quality. The whole experience was abysmal and the food not god enough to take the bad taste out of our mouths.

The food is wonderful. The crab cakes are some of the best in town. The staff is always pleasent to deal with.
(4)Dara B.
A tad on the pricey side but I guess that is Boca Raton for you. I liked the decor and the food was good.
(3)Irene M.
(3)Oscar C.
Decent food, horrible service. Waited over 30 minutes to get the food. The place wasn't even busy.
(1)Naygie R.
Great food, great happy hour. Fresh liqueurs, delicious Martinis. Friendly & very attentive staff.
(5)Marcia B.
(2)Todd O.

(5)Olivier G.
I have been there only for lunch, but their Tuna Burger is very good, as well as their BBQ Salmon. Service is efficient and nice (most of the time... I had issues once), and the outdoor space is nice.
(4)Al M.

(2)Chris C.

Spinach mushroom quesedilla w/ smoked beef briskets is to die for

(5)Cindy V.
(5)Joe M.
(4)Karina K.
Please bring back the calamari!!!!! Went on the weekend and loved it and had to come back that Tuesday and I was so bummed to hear they took it off the menu.
(4)Mike G.
(1)Denise R.
(5)narisa s.
I liked it didn't love it. The size dishes and vegetables are really good. Main dishes are good but not memorable. Steak is good and the service is pretty good. Everything was kind of average
(3)Carly M.
This is one of my favorite restaurants and I'm never disappointed. I adore the tortilla soup and chopped salad. I definitely would recommend!
(5)Zoe T.
(1)Ray B.
(5)Scott R.
They are great! Service always wonderful! You have to try the French dip (make sure you get the creamy horseradish sauce with it)!
(5)George K.
We went here on a quiet Wednesday night a little after 9 PM. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very helpful and friendly; service was very good. Our fish entrées were tasty and the Long Island Ice-T's were to our liking. Good, prompt service and food - what more could one ask for?
(4)Phelippe A.
Amazing veggie burgers and kale salad! Great new look and atmosphere. It seems more casual now which is nice but I'm not a fan of their new uniforms.
(5)Amy W.
I gave them four stars because they try so hard - The food is good - my mother loves it - her favorite place to eat! Problem - the menu needs more diversity - a little boring But good! And good parking And a great looking BIG bar!
(4)Rob M.
(5)Tim S.
Melissa the server in the bar area is fantastic. She goes above and beyond! She is an asset to Piñon Grill.
(5)Joel K.
I just had the worst chicken salad. And last visit my calamari was over-cooked and had the texture of rubber bands. I will not be returning.
(1)Alex S.
(4)Lauren W.
(3)Kristin W.
(4)Bryan B.
(4)Jay F.
(1)Ryan P.
Great experience here today, cool deal called power lunch, house salad, BBQ salmon, and 3 Fresh chocolate chip cookies for $17. They guarantee it in 30 minutes or it's half off. Pretty cool gimmick. Great price great service!
(5)Amanda M.
Hands down the best veggie burger I've ever had! One of those where you have to second guess if it's veggie or not, because it's that good. Great shoestring fries too. Enough to split. Refreshing cocktails.
(5)Eddie P.
(1)Nelsy R.
(1)Anita C.
(4)Ila S.
(5)Lauren C.
Never knew this place existed. Very good service. Flavorful and fresh! Great alternative to Boca eateries. Great atmosphere, will go back again soon.
(5)Michele C.
(4)Denise J.
(4)Charity C.
Worst place ever if you want to try and get a Gift card for someone and you live out of state. I gave them my credit card info, they charged me and never mailed the gift card. 2 thumbs down!
(1)Ray G.
Had two great meals. Similar to Houston's but a step up. Better quality food and service. Restaurant is very nice.
(4)F S.

(4)Danielle G.
Great meal, great service. The swordfish special was tasty - tender, juicy but firm. Skirt steak was delicious. Nice atmosphere.
(4)Jason G.
(2)Camilo C.
(4)David R.
Enjoy!
(4)Eve P.

Disappointed. Hit or miss. Lousy service. Great key lime pie. Would not go there again.

What's the big deal? Was ok nothing wowed me. Wouldn't go back unless I have to.

Highly recommended it came, so we gave it a try and my "O-Piñon" on Piñon Grill is also a positive one. A beautiful façade matched with a luxurious interior, allow this classy, Southwest inspired restaurant to fit in with the neighboring, prestigious Boca Town Center Mall. The exterior of the building displays a naturally sophisticated look, which continues as you enter through the oversized double doors. Large bronze statues of Piñon trees protrude through the dining room, wooden leaf-shaped tables create a pattern of private booths for guests to dine at, and actual tree stumps are used to ornament the wall dividing the restaurant and bar. Complimenting the earthy décor, are hip accents like the large clear displays of wine bottles illuminated with ocean blue lighting and modern sculptured art. The bar itself is magnificent, both in size and in view. The menu is full of comfort food so be sure to check your diets at the door. Handsome plating and generous main courses will make your mouth water upon being served. Between our party of six, we covered a good portion of the menu and of course, I sampled a bit of everything. The "wow" factor definitely goes to the Baby Back Ribs- meaty, tender, and coated with a "tangtastic" barbeque sauce. Each meal comes with suggested sides that can easily be substituted, none of which you can go wrong with. Piñon's shoestring fries are ridiculously addicting and the mac and cheese had a delightful creaminess with a kick. That being said, many of the dishes include a touch of heat so if you're not a fan of spice, use caution when ordering. And if you can save room for dessert, there are a few fun options such as the chocolate waffle and the white chocolate bread pudding to sweetly seal the deal with. "You get what you pay for" certainly holds true at Piñon. I do not typically dissect prices, but to be fair about the cost of the food, here are my two cents (pun intended). There is one menu for lunch and dinner, which can have its up and down sides. It is nice to have more to choose from during both times of the day however, since the average entrée runs around $25, the cost may seem steep for lunch, yet reasonable for dinner. However, the sandwiches, salads, and appetizers (which include items suitable for a main meal) are around the $14 mark, making Piñon a more viable option for lunch or dinner. Considering the fare, the service and the overall experience, a great value is provided. Our midweek lunch at Piñon Grill was wonderful and I look forward to returning soon to experience the brunch portion of the menu with our soon to arrive out of town guests. Word is that the crowd and noise level are more vibrant during the dinner and weekend hours so we will be sure to make a reservation, as they are happily accepted.

(5)Elizabeth R.

I would go for Martinis and the white chocolate bread pudding. That white chocolate bread pudding is like no other!

Great crab fritters and ribs...bread pudding amazing...in the town center mall...cordial waiter and nice ambience

Very nice setting. Reasonable food, but not great. Pricey, I felt I paid more for the gorgeous interior than for the food.
(3)Marsha H.

(2)Steven K.

(2)Neil S.
(4)Scott T.
(4)Cyndi E.
The lunch meals are way over-priced for lunch portions. The burger was OK for $12 but I refuse to pay $36 for a lunch portion of mahi mahi.
(3)Herb T.
